I am a strong believer that there are a lot of ways to lose weight and get in shape. I do not think that ViSalus is the best program for everyone and I do think that people can lose weight doing any number of different programs. My mantra is to try as many as you can and find what works for you and stick to it. I do not want this portion of the post to be combative or negative in any way. I just want to make sure the other side of the story is apparent. Let us address a few “Bogus Comparisons” that are circulating out there at the moment.
The first comparison tries to prove that ViSalus is doing some deceptive marketing tactic in the ViSalus Vi-Shape Competitor Comparison chart by stating that the Body By Vi shake has less calories than Isagenix Shakes. This does not suggest there is a Body By Vi scam. Now someone who has read older outdated material may not have the same competitor comparison chart so I may understand some confusion.

The second comparison that people try to say proves ViSalus is bogus or a scam is that the grams of fat in the chart is misleading when comparing against competitors. Again, the argument is based on the mixing in of milk to make it a true meal replacement shake. In this case, if you use non-fat milk, the amount of fat in the Body By Vi shakes are still very low and much lower than competitors. I myself add coconut oil into my meal replacement shakes because healthy fat is beneficial to losing weight. If your body does not get fat daily in meals, it will hold on to your fat that is present in your body and will not burn it. You do not want that if you want to lose fat and gain muscle. What is a more important comparison between Body By Vi shakes and Isagenix Isalean is that there is zero saturated fat in the ViSalus product vs. 1g in Isagenix. Saturated fat that is not natural, like in organic coconut oil can be bad for you.
The last “bogus” claim has to do with Carbohydrates in the meal replacement mixes. The claim is that ViSalus still does not take into account the milk that is added into the shake to truly make it a meal replacement shake. There is a notion that this is not an apples to apples comparison. I would tend to agree with that statement. This is not an apples to apples comparison because most people will make their shakes to their tastes and what satisfies them, milk or not. To say that the ViSalus Vi-Shape comparison chart is misleading because you are not counting milk for ViSalus and water for Isagenix is still not apples to apples. This does not prove or even hint that there is a Body By Vi scam. To truly be apples to apples, you would want to compare both products being mixed with milk. That is the only true way to make a fair comparison. I can tell you that I take my Body By Vi shakes with frozen fruit, two scoops of the protein blend and water to mix it all. I do not add milk and my shakes keep me satisfied from 6AM until noon. I would say there is zero requirements to add milk to make it a “true meal replacement” shake. The notion that you must add milk to a protein powder to make it a meal replacement seems to be the only bogus claim here.

The Body By Vi challenge has changed my life in the few weeks I have been a customer and a promoter. I have lost 10 pounds in the first 3 weeks and feel great. I have gone from a size 40 waist on my jeans to a 38 and could probably wear a 36. As for the business opportunity and the notion that there exists a Body By Vi Scam, I would have to heartily disagree.
